Easter break and a new feature: Flattr

Hey ho,
if you like what you read in the Fyranian Herald, you can now support it via Flattr.

We have finished the work on the video now and we are very satisfied with it. Now we only need to make a few little things and then we are ready for the campaign. We hope that you are too.
Also we are planning how we will equip the new rehearsal room. There are some interesting ideas already.

In the next two days we will make the last preparations and have a little easter break. So if nothing really exciting happens, there won’t be any new posts here in the next two days.

Video editing and some announcements.

Today Gerald is editing the video that we recorded last tuesday. Yesterday we had a lot of panic because all of a sudden there were some files missing and/or bad named so that the audio and video didn't match together. You know, all that stuff that happens when you are in a hurry finishing something.
I always claim that this is the point of being professional. It’s not that everything just works well when you are a professional but that you are able to handle a situation like that, to improvise, and still release a very good result in time.

Yesterday we had the last rehearsal in our old room. We are not very sad to leave there. The rehearsal was nice although the sound was really bad (which is one reason that we are not very sad to leave). Shannon did a very good job playing the Bass on Outcast Society for a first time at a rehearsal. We also made some a cappella singing training. There is still a bit to do but we are very very satisfied with the result for now for it was the first time we sang together without any instrumental accompaniment and Niclas and Henrik are no experienced singers yet.

Now time for the announcements. Well, we wanted to tell you what we plan to do in the next time.

We are almost done with the preparations for something great: we will start a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo next week. So save your money for you can help us and be a part of Fyra – and get some cool stuff in return.

So the next week will be all about the beginning of the campaign. The week after will be about the crew behind the world of Fyra. Every day we will show you a profile of one of those who are now working on Fyra.

Then we have planned a a-day-a-song week. There we will tell you more about the songs of Go! to Fyra. There is an interesting story behind them.

So there are a lot of very cool things to come. Stay tuned.

New rehearsal room

The video recording two days ago was really exciting. Now we are very curious about how the final video will become.

Today we signed a contract for a new rehearsal room. Now the word ‘room’ really makes sense because it is about 60 square meters large. So we will be able to move around there and so on. That’s an improvement because our old room hasn’t even got a third of that size and we share it with two other bands.

We will make some photos of the new room soon and share them with you here.

New about page.

Today no such great news but at least we have created an about page where you can find a bit more information about Fyra with all important links that are relevant to the project. We will extend it from time to time so you might like to take a look at it from time to time.

What would you like to know about in the next time? The character of the world of Fyra? More about the meaning of the songs from Go! to Fyra? Something about the band members (well, you will get that information anyways in a few days)? Please leave a comment and tell us what you’d like to see next here.

Filming day

First of all we’d like to thank all those who have visited this blog already. After just one day we already have more than 100 page views. That’s amazing!
Feel free to leave a comment on any of our posts. And spread the word.

Today we are going to record some video material. With we I mean the band. Gerald is going to cut and edit the stuff afterwards.
We won’t tell you yet what we are going to do with it, but we will tell you very soon.
I am very nervous about it. This will be our first video recording together and we will talk in English. It would feel more comfortable to talk in German because that’s the language we usually speak (although two of us are native English speakers).
But mostly I think it will be a very great experience and I am very excited about being able to capture that magical spirit that appears when we are together. Really, I never experienced something like this in any group before. So we would like to carry this mood over to you.

Alright, time to go on with the preparations. You will get more exciting news tomorrow.

Monday 25 March 2013

Hey ho! This is Fyra’s one and only official weblog, the Fyranian Herald.

From now on, we will give you the opportunity to get first hand informations about Fyra on this blog. We will provide you at least one daily post about what’s going on in the development of the World of Fyra.

Here we will share with you reports about what we do, what we try to do, what we plan to do, how we do it, what we don’t do. We will report about fun stuff as well as serious topics. We will make suggestions about what you can do. We will recommend stuff (music, artists, articles, artworks, and so on) that we like. And we hope that you will recommend our stuff.
But there will also be a lot of things we even don’t know yet, for the most exciting thing about Fyra is that we are also not aware of what Fyra will become. It’s like a great adventure with a lot to discover for us too.

If you don’t know anything about Fyra yet then check out our website where you can find a musical introduction to it. We will disclose more information about the World of Fyra soon here. So stay tuned, get our feed or subscribe to our posts with your Email address (on the left sidebar), like us on Facebook and/or follow our Tweets!

Hey ho! This is Fyra
and we would love to have you near …

Sincerely,
The Fyranian Embassy
